Wooden Nickel opened it's doors in 1976 by K. Cohlmia. We were originally a store focusing on denim and preppy styles. Current owner, Allison Keys started working here during her freshman year at Oklahoma State University. After graduating with a degree in Interior Design, she bought the store from Cohlmia and has continued to grow the company. In 2015, an electrical fire caused us to start over completely. While tragic, this has allowed us to relocate to the Strip with triple the space and an opportunity to revamp the store.
After 40 years, the Wooden Nickel has become a part of Stillwater history. Locally owned, the Nickel provides a sense of pride for the community and a lasting relationship with our customers.
We have a little something for everybody. We want everybody who walks through our doors to feel a sense of comfort knowing that our employees have their needs in mind. Whether you are shopping for a special occasion or just need some retail therapy, we are happy to help!
